On 19 June 2025, the Terradeca team visited a 3-acre vegetable farm owned by Mr. Fung of Hatiku Agrikultur, located in Ringlet, Cameron Highlands. Mr. Fung is one of the early pioneers of organic farming in this highland region and has consistently advocated for sustainable, environmentally responsible practices.
His farm is fully operated without the use of chemical pesticides. Instead, it follows ecological principles that emphasize biodiversity, soil health, and food safety. A wide variety of crops including mustard greens, cabbage, spring onions, and ulam raja are grown in small, diverse plots to naturally reduce pest pressure and enhance ecological balance.
What made this visit particularly meaningful was Mr. Fung’s willingness to integrate innovation into his established organic system. He recently adopted Mr MoleC, our plant-based insect repellent, and his worker reported a reduction of nearly 50% in pest activity compared to his usual seasons. Mr MoleC was applied alongside other organic practices and inputs, without compromising the integrity of his farming philosophy.
